Alex, “Alex J” Jenkins is a native of Boston, MA. Growing up on the streets of Dorchester he always had a passion for music and entertainment. Part of his passion came from watching Sean “P-Diddy” Combs.  ”P. Diddy was iconic in the 20th century. He had the swagg of Jay-Z and the passion of the notorious B.I.G and I respected and admired his game, Alex says of Diddy.

Since the Diddy era, Alex J knew he wanted to travel down the yellow brick road right into the industry. So Alex went to the most prestigious public high school for the Arts, Boston Arts Academy (BAA), where he studied Film. Following his graduation from BAA, Alex was able to pursue his passion for film and flex his acting muscles in two independent projects.  “Sting Operation” and “Love Hurts” allowed Alex to gain his first real industry experience and enabled him to gain a lot of local success and recognition.

Along with his budding acting career Alex J also honed his performance skills by hosting a myriad of entertainment events from local fashion shows and pep rallies as well as securing other acting gigs through commercial work. His BAA education and natural talent and charisma allowed him to perfect connecting with the audience. This connection opened the door to Boston’s leading Urban Media outlet, TOUCH 106.1 FM. 

Alex J is currently the host of the “Evening Rush” on TOUCH 106.1FM where he rocks the mic Monday-Thursday Evenings. Adding a little more flavor on Tuesday and Thursday nights with The Lady’s TOUCH & TOUCH’N The Streets; special mixshow editions featuring DJ Erkel.
