“The Nation Speaks,” (Saturdays 6am-8am) (Sundays, 7am-10am)

Yvette ”Sister Yvette” Straughter is a veteran of the TOUCH 106.1 FM family and has spent the last few years being the leading voice of the specialty show, “The Nation Speaks”, weekend mornings on TOUCH FM.   She has been a member of Muhammad’s Mosque No.11 in Boston, MA for many years and educates listeners across the globe on the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Minister Luis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam inside the Nation Speaks every Saturday and Sunday morning. An educator at heart, Sister Yvette also teaches math and fancies herself a poet.

Sister Yvette appreciates a good book and is an avid reader especially of mystery novels and historical documents. She admits she can’t; “get enough of playing word games like Bookworm, Text Twist, Flip Words etc.”  Her best moments she believes are the moments she gets to spend time with family and friends which represent the best part of her days!

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad said, “A nation cannot rise any higher than its woman” and through that phrase she says; “it has been my honor to work on lifting up the image of the Black Woman!”
