Oprah and Rihanna on ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’

Earlier this week, Oprah tweeted out photos of Rihanna driving her around Barbados, as a tease for her upcoming interview with the “We Found Love” singer, airing on OWN August 19.

Oprah has now released a sneak peak video of the interview, in which she talks about being pleasantly surprised by Rihanna.

“I just recently came back from Barbados, with Rihanna. I went there with my own ideas about who she was, watching the videos and listening to her music, I thought she was gonna be kind of a badass,” Winfrey said. “Nothing could have been farther from the truth. This is who she was for me and our cameras, and 100% herself. She was thoughtful, she was very emotional, she was vulnerable, she pushes the edge. I came away getting a great sense of who she was.”
